Rae Lee

The Rae Lee. Soon to be refurbed and delivered to Samoa to work alongside The Corolu. Rae Lee has a long proud history of fishing the Whitianga. Has a great engine, radar, power steering, internal steering position, autopilot, 4 tonne hold and SAILS. We are passionate about sails and cant wait to have a sailing fishing boat in the domentic fleet in Samoa. The ship will contribute to the Asini Fishing Plan and should be in action Sep / Oct 2025.

The Mission

We will take affirmative action to

- To ensure that local people can access local fish.

- Transport working fishing boats from NZ to Samoa to be operated in partnership with Aiga in Samoa to uplift aiga participation in the economy

- Promote safety, seamanship and access to technology and expertise on the sea to fishers in Samoa including coms, safety gear, ship upgrades i.e fish finders, radar. This will include the establishment of a Fishers Collective.

- Facilitate feasible export which will contribute to local employment and development of the Samoan economy.

A fun project where we can feed our people and generate income to uplift living conditions while fundraising for further Eco-Pirate adventures.
