We have been following the good work of Precious Plastics for some time. They have provided a lot of inspiration over the years confirming that action and solutions are possible. Waste plastic, can be repurposed and made into things that have use!

Not only did they provide inspiration, they have provided BLUEPRINTS and machine designs. Step by step guides on how to do it.

Long term we want to collect plastics in NZ, Samoa and the Great Pacific Garbage Patch to chip, extrude and turn into items that can be used by our island family (plates, cups, roof tiles, fence posts etc) and used for items we can sell to fundraise for the project! Jewelry, 3d printing filament, bowls etc,

We know that is a massive long term plan (not to long, I am getting old) We have started by securing a mini muncher and an estrusion machine, setting up a plastic collection post (Central Christchurch) a workspace (at our HQ at The Galaxy Arcade www.galaxyarcade.co.nz) in Christchurch and a plan to make initially plant pots, then to get familiar with 3d plastic filament making and buying a big 3d printer to print cool things.

So the mission is on. We meet on Mondays at The HQ and collect plastic. Munch it. Make things.
